RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development/Outside Sales Professional to join our team. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, foster strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth in the installation vertical of our business. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and developing long-term relationships with clients. Your ability to think strategically, connect with stakeholders, and execute effective business strategies will be essential to our continued success.
- Our business development team members don’t just worry about the front end of the relationships, they are included in project update meetings, weekly cost & schedule meetings, along with following up on accounts receivable.
- We expect all aspects of our company to understand the status of our high-profile projects so the entire team speaks the same language to the customers.
- This position will be focused on the Installation vertical of our business.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company goals and revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, market expansions, and sales channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry contacts, and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and areas for growth and present findings to leadership.
- Lead negotiations and close deals with prospective clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaigns that support business development initiatives.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business strategies.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Assist or Join Installation Ops team members on project walk-downs and prospective opportunities.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of developing successful business strategies and closing high-value deals.
- Strong understanding of market research and analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners.
- Proficiency with CRM software and business analytics tools.
- Willingness to go beyond the “typical” sales/BD tasks
- Help negotiate change orders, payments, and general customer communications.
